Application of high specific-gravity oil-based drilling fluid in slim hole Well Xinye HF-2

  • 摘要: 新页HF-2 井是川西地区的第2 口页岩气水平探井,四开?152.4 mm 井眼钻进过程中泵压偏高、排量低,定向仪器无法正常工作。借助钻井液水力学模拟计算软件,在确保油基钻井液密度稳定的情况下,采取优化钻井液性能和替换钻具相结合的方式,有效降低了泵压,提高了排量,满足了定向仪器正常工作的需要,使用密度2.15 g/cm3 的油基钻井液完成821 m 的水平段钻井施工,为今后同类井的施工提供了有益的借鉴。

     

    Abstract: Xinye HF-2 well is the second horizontal shale gas exploratory well in the western Sichuan state. During its the fourth ?152.4 slim-hole drilling process, the pump showed higher pressure and lower displacement, and the orientator could not work normally. By using the drilling fluid hydraulics simulation software and ensuring the stable specific-gravity of oil-based drilling fluid, we combined the optimization of oil-based drilling fluid performance with the replacement of drilling tools to effectively reduce the pump pressure, increase the displacement volume, and keep the orientator at normal operation. In Xinye HF-2 well, the drilling of 821 m horizontal section finished with 2.15 g/cm3 oil-based drilling fluid. The practice offers useful references to operations in similar wells.
