Abstract:
When liner is used to exploit the high pressure oil/gas reservoirs, the success of negative pressure test on the overlay section of the liner has a direct bearing on whether the liner will become the key well barrier, but the recommended practice for negative pressure test on such overlay section is not expressly specified domestically. By studying the relevant technical standards and the recommended practices of well-known oil companies, profound research was conducted on the conditions and technologies for negative pressure test on the overlay section of liner, and a set of complete methods of negative pressure test for liner were established, including parameter calculation method, process flow and interpretation method for pressure test results. The proposed negative pressure test method for liner was used in Iran Y Oilfield, and was proved to be viable and could meet the requirement of field pressure test.
