Abstract: In line with such problems as severe sulphur deposition in gas field wellbores, acute toxicity of chemical sulphur dissolving agent at present, complex operation process at site and unfavorable desulphuring effectiveness, this paper presents a new kind of automatic wellbore desulphuring equipment and its desulphuring method. This equipment converts the natural gas energy into its own power and realizes its rotation. It moves from hole bottom to wellhead and remove sulphur deposited on wellbore walls both hydraulically and mechanically. This equipment removes sulphur automatically, efficiently and saves energy. Indoor test results show that this equipment can effectively remove the sulphur on the wellbore wall surface during gas production, and it is characterized by easy operation, low cost, simple mechanical structure. It enjoys a good application prospect.
