Inhibition mechanism of organic salt drilling fluid of Weigh series

  • 摘要: Weigh 系列有机盐钻井液具有抑制性能强、抗温性能好、摩阻低等优点,已成为国内外复杂情况钻井主要钻井液。室内测量了Weigh 系列有机盐钻井液中水的活度,经Weigh 系列有机盐钻井液作用后黏土胶体颗粒吸附扩散双电层的厚度及蒙脱石晶层的层间距,从活度因素、双电层因素、离子交换晶格嵌入因素3 个方面探讨了Weigh 系列有机盐钻井液抑制性作用机理。Weigh 系列有机盐钻井液在南海西部北部湾2 口大位移井中得到成功应用,为南海西部类似油田开发提供了进一步的技术支持。

     

    Abstract: The organic salt drilling fluid of Weigh series has advantages of strong inhibition, high temperature resistance and low friction, and it has been the main drilling technology in complex situations at home and abroad. In this paper, the water activity of Weigh organic salt drilling fluid, the thickness of adsorption-diffusion double electrode layers of clay colloidal particles after the Weigh organic salt drilling fluid effect, and the layer space of montmorillonite crystal were measured in laboratory. Then, the inhibition mechanisms of Weigh organic salt drilling fluid were discussed from three aspects, i.e., activity, double electrode layer and ion exchanging lattice embedment. It has been successfully applied in two extended reach wells in the Beibu Gulf, western South China Sea. It provides the technical support for the development of similar oil fields in western South China Sea.
