Abstract: The contents and methods of designing the horizontal well target area are discussed on the basis of the reservoir dip orientation and the requirments for oil field development.Considering uncertainty of the build ability of the tool and the resevoir location,the basic principle of the reasonble determination of the location of building point is presented.Based on the basic principle,the design method of hori-zonatal well trajectory is given and is verified by calculation examples.
