Abstract: Control of making up of tubings or casings are an important factor to guarantee their properties in use. Rig site practices demonstrated that most of the cases of their jump out, leak and thread galling are closely related with thread making up control. The advantages and dlsadvantages of actually applied making up control methods are analyzed in this paper and the improving measures are presented in regard to the problems of making up control existent in our oilfields.
