Abstract: Abstract：Xing-9 Block in central area of Hebei has conglomerate formation with high density, difficult to carry cuttings, good connection of holes, cavities and fissures in the formation,easy to loss of circulation,high pressure water existed in some fault-blocks,which created many difficulties in drilling operation. After the analysis and research on the geologic features of the block in detail, combined with the drilling characteristics of slim hole, the precautionary measures have been made strictly to prevent kicks, lost circulation, pipe stuck, including also the measures of tools management, increase of penetration rate, protection of technical casing etc, which laid a solid foundation for drilling slim hole safely in this area, promoted exploration and development, also can be taken as a reference for drilling slim hole in other areas.
