Key technology on drilling oil and gas reservoirs of tight sandstone in Fanjia area

Development of tight sandstone gas reservoir in Fanjia area in 2012 is the development emphasis of Shengli oilfield. In view of the complexity of the wellbore configurations, the characteristics of tight sandstone and difficulties in drilling operations this area, this paper summarizes the drilling experience from the first spud, directional section, buildup section to well completion of six wells including Fan 154-Ping-1, ect.; optimizes the wellbore configurations, bit selection, BHA, and drilling fluid technology; forms the fast drilling technology and safe drilling fluid technology for Fanjia area sandstone unconventional well, which applies to 4 unconventional wells (e.g. Fan 154-6HF), and achieves good results. The ROP is increased by more than 10% compared to previously completed wells, and drilling cycle is shortened by more than 10%, which providing valuable experience for the subsequent development of unconventional wells.
