Development and application of integrated scraping and flushing tool

  • In traditional test operations, casing scraping and well flushing should be completed in two trippings. In the Tarim Oilfield, which is characterized by deep well, high temperature and high day rate for well testing, an integrated scraping and flushing tool is developed and applied. The tool runs into the hole with its blades stretched out; after scraping, the blades recoverd with the pins are sheared by way of dropping-to-pressurizing, and then well drifting, flushing and mud replacement. Field application shows that the integrated tool realizes the operation of scraping, replacement and flushing in one trip, making the time of single well test reduced by 31.4 hours.
