Subdivision and allocation technique for producing wells with over six intervals

  • In order to improve the recovery percentage of the oil reservoirs and realize fine division of oil reservoirs, a technique of subdivision of reservoirs and production control has been developed for producing wells with over six intervals. An electrically controlled testing and controlling gauge is run down the tubing-casing annulus and connected with the downhole adjustable bottom-hole regulator. The gauge will carry out direct analysis and judgment to the high production sections based on the monitoring data, so proper control may be realized over the liquid-producing capacity from each interval in one run, so that each interval will maintain proper flow pressure and will give full play of its oil production potential. The study on the supporting subdivision technology has satisfied the subdivision and control of producing wells with over six intervals and achieves the goal of tapping the remaining oil.
