Abstract
To enhance the operational stability and control accuracy of natural gas reciprocating compressors, improve the safety and reliability of compressors under complex working conditions, advance the localization of large-scale equipment in the petroleum industry, and reduce dependence on foreign technologies. Research was conducted by developing a localized control system architecture encompassing both hardware and software. Efforts focused on three key areas: hardware design of the control system, optimization of interlock control logic, and improvements to the host computer interface. A fully independent, localized hardware control system for compressors was established, featuring a logic control architecture based on real-time monitoring, alarm systems, and automatic adjustments, as well as a stable and highly compatible host computer interface. The system was successfully applied and tested at the Suqiao Gas Storage facility. The developed software and hardware systems were compatible with 12 foreign-made compressor units operating under complex conditions, achieving real-time data monitoring, alarm warnings, and interlock control. This effort formed a technical framework for the localized development of control systems for natural gas reciprocating compressors. The localized control system provides technical support for realizing an unmanned intelligent management mode and elevates the technological capabilities of critical energy equipment in the national energy sector.
