A NEW APPROACH TO DETERMINE NEGATIVE PRESSURE IN UNDER BALANCED PERFORATING

  • The negative pressure for under balanced perforating is a key parameter in well perforating design. It can directly influence the productivity and borehole stability of a perforated well. The paper gives a new method to determine the negative pressure for under balanced perforating by use of elasto-plastic deformation theory coupled with reservoir flow equations. The method applied shows its simplification and reliable results. It also has great significance to improve perforating operations.
