DIRECTIONAL DRILLING TECHNOLOGY OF AN EXTENDED REACH WILDCAT, WELL GANGSHEN-69X1

  • Well Gangshen-69x1 is a wildcat with the largest displacement on land in China, which has a displacement of 3118.04m and a total depth of 5464.43m. A series of advanced technologies are applied, e.g., DC electric rig, stepless speed regulation pump and top drive system, steerable drilling system, powerful downhole motor, and advanced drill bit. It is successfully drilled to the bottom, and a large amount of valuable data are gotten, this greatly improves extended reach drilling technology and pushes the development of offsh ore oilfield from the land area. This paper mainly focuses on the operation and site management of this directional drilling.
