ANALYSIS OF GEOLOGICAL FACTORS OF CASING DAMAGE IN TUO 28 FAULT BLOCK

  • Casing damage is the restrict factor of safe and high efficacious production in oilfield. The fault systems and stratum structure in Tuo28 fault block are very complex. Casing damage in Tuo28 is quite serious. There are 3 cardinal geological factors lead to the serious casing damage in the well Tuo28, which are the fault wriggle, the lithology change and the groundwater erode. All of factors, fault exert most influence on casing damage. About 2/3 casing damage has relationship with fault. While the variety of lithology is relatively large by long-term waterflood development, the casing damage is more serious with further development. Geological environment is physical basement of existing oilfield. Only when knowing more about geological setting and taking appropriate preventive pertinently, the loss of casing damage could be furthest abated, the cost of workover could be fall down and controlled effectively.
