Brief talk about development of marginal oilfield in the western South China Sea

There are tens of marginal oilfields not developed in the western South China Sea because it is difficult to produce by conventional development mode and technique.In order to develop the offshore marginal oilfield economically and effectively,main affecting factors of restricting marginal oilfield are analyzed,including geographic environment,basic geologic condition,reserves scale,evaluation degree and so on.The favorable conditions including high oil price at the moment,advance of development technology,practical pattern and experience of oilfield development in this sea area and so on are investigated.Based on the said,a set of basic idea fit for the development of marginal oilfield in the western South China Sea is concluded.That is,exploration and development integration,reasonable development mode,advanced development technology,fewer wells high yield and using developing experience.And specific application is done in Weizhou oilfield group and Wenchang oilfield group.The development practice shows that the idea and technology of development is reasonable and effective and makes remarkable development effects and economic benefits,which is of importance reference and guidance for such marginal oilfield development.
