Multi-stage fracturing technique in deviated wells of tight thick oil reservoirs

  • Zone Chang6 of Huaqing oilfield a typical tight reservoir with the pay thickness of 30-60m and permeability of nearly 0.3mD, and is characterized by serious heterogeneity in vertical. In order to enhance single well production, multi-stage fracturing technique in deviated wells of tight thick oil reservoirs was proposed based on the favorable conditions that cluster wells could have high deviation and the borehole could penetrate layers that thick enough. This technique could form network which increase oil drain-age volume and then enhance the single well production. Well selection template for multi-stage fracturing in deviated wells was drawn and the specific conditions for deviation angle and azimuth of single well were illustrated to cause team independent fractures. Through analyzing the pressure fitting and DSI logging, results confirm that multi-stage fracturing in deviated wells could improve the effect of volume fracturing in tight thick oil reservoirs. The single well output is 0.8 t/d over than that of the corresponding well. Multi-stage fracturing technique in deviated wells is one of the effective stimulation means.
