Abstract
According to the problem of frequent well head freezing in Junggar Basin gas fields, real field gas samples are taken to conduct experimental study and analysis of hydrate generation. The testing data showed that the sum of methane and nitrogen contents might be the criteria of judging the difficulty degree of hydrate generation. Furthermore, the impurities in gas samples could accelerate the hydrate generation. The faster the stirring speed, the shorter the hydrate generation time. Therefore, the increase amount of impurities in the gas well could accelerate hydrate generation, and the high production with frequent changing of well shut and open status can quicken the wellhead freeze by hydrate generation. At last, the advices are given to prevent hydrate generation in field operations.
